WARRENSBURG, ILL. (April 24, 2025) — The
Warrensburg-Latham Lions Club awarded scholarships to four seniors
at the recent W-L High School Awards Night.
The recipients of the scholarships were: Elizabeth Ashley Cornett,
Savannah Elisabeth Allen, Parker Kensey Brumbaugh and Jeuliyan
Thomas Koehler. Elizabeth Cornett and Savannah Allen received the
Lions Club scholarships. Parker Brumbaugh received the John L. Rotz
Scholarship and Jeuliyan Koehler was awarded the Terry R. Parker
Scholarship. The Rotz and Parker scholarships are named in honor of
two dedicated and faithful Lions Club members.
Elizabeth is the daughter of Warrensburg residents Chad and Michelle
Cornett. She will attend the University of North Dakota in Grand
Forks, ND, where she will major in biomedical engineering with a
chemical concentration.
Savannah will major in nursing at the University of Nebraska in
Lincoln, Neb. She is the daughter of Decatur residents Charles and
Melanie L. Weigel.
The daughter of Forsyth residents Kenneth and Kasey Brumbaugh,
Parker will enroll in the University of Mississippi in Oxford,
Miss., where she will follow the Allied Health Studies on the
pre-dental track.

Jeuliyan is the son of
Warrensburg resident Brian Koehler. Jeuliyan will attend
Millikin University where he will major in finance.
The Warrensburg-Latham Lions Club meets the first and third
Thursdays of the month at noon in the Illini Park Pavilion,
120-190 W. Warren St., Warrensburg. Chartered in January 1958,
it is the sole service club organization representing the
Warrensburg-Latham School District. The club is comprised of men
and women who identify needs within the community and work
together to fulfill those needs.
