Obituary
Joyce Paige-Musick, 89, of Lincoln,
IL, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at
Timbercreek Village in Lincoln.
Joyce was born August 18, 1935, in Lincoln, to Harry
and Hester (Kirkman) Rohlfs. She married Robert Dean
Paige on December 6, 1953. He preceded her in death
on July 14, 1988. Joyce then married Robert Musick
on November 2, 1991. He also preceded her in death
on January 5, 2009.
Joyce is survived by her son, Darrell (Lorrie) Paige
of Lincoln; two grandsons, Daniel (Bobbi) Paige and
Michael (Ashley) Paige both of Lincoln; and five
great-grandchildren, Lain, Wesley, Billie, Jax, and
Myla Paige. She is also survived by one sister,
Sharon Shehorn of Lincoln; three stepchildren, Donna
(John) Plummer of Springfield, Pam (Darrell) Turner
of Lincoln, and Tony Musick of Decatur; and four
step-grandchildren, Ryan, Jake, Jenny, and Tracy.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harry
Rolhfs; three sisters, Betty Justice, Jewell
Schachtele, and Darlene McLendon; and her parents,
Harry and Hester Rohlfs. |
Joyce worked from 1962-1997 and
retired as a Financial Aid Director of Lincoln
College. She was a member of Lincoln Christian
Church.
Funeral Services for Joyce will be held at 10:00 am
on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place the night prior on
Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm also at
the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at
New Union Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorials may be made
in Joyce’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
