[March 31, 2025]  LINCOLN - Phyllis A. Martin, 101, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 in the comfort of her own home.

Visitation:  Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL

Service:  Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Obituary

Phyllis A. Martin, 101, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 in the comfort of her own home.

Phyllis was born on December 28, 1923 in Warwick, RI, the daughter of Willam H. & Nettie M. (Locke) Randall Sr. She married William Thomas Martin in Shelbyville, IL, he preceded her in death on April 21, 2003.

Phyllis is survived by her grandchildren, William Thomas (Fawna) Martin III and Shayla Martin; her great-grandchildren, Isaac Martin, Ely Martin, Gabby Whoberry, Brantley Whoberry, William Thomas Martin IV, Lizzy Martin, and Hudson Martin; her brother, Earle Randall; and her sisters, Charlotte Jorgenson and Beverly Gebler.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, William Thomas Martin II; her siblings, Milton, William, Constance, Edith, Norman, and Shirley.

Phyllis was very involved with her Needlepoint communities and 4 H Programs. She won many awards over the years for her needlepoint creations. Phyllis was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Lincoln, IL.

Services for Phyllis will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL. Visitation will take place the evening prior Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.
