[April 16, 2025]  MT. PULASKI - Betty A. Landers, 92, of Mt. Pulaski (formerly of Decatur), passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Service:  Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mt. Pulaski.

Obituary

Betty A. Landers, 92, of Mt. Pulaski (formerly of Decatur), passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Betty was born on March 4, 1933, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Sams) Waddell. She married Jimmy J. Landers on September 17, 1964, in Elkhart, IL. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2012.

She is survived by her many close friends and cousins.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy; and two brothers, Donald and Lester Waddell.

Betty was a faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mt. Pulaski, IL. She was very talented when it came to her drafting, especially embroidery. She also enjoyed spending time watching her St. Louis Cardinals and the Fighting Illini.

Funeral Mass for Betty will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mt. Pulaski. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Per Betty’s request there will be no visitation. Memorials may be made in Betty’s name to the American Cancer Society or the Parkinson's Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski.
