[November 12, 2024]  LINCOLN - Thomas L. “Louie” Fitzpatrick, 75, of Lincoln, passed away at Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Service:  Holy Family Catholic Church on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.

Thomas L. “Louie” Fitzpatrick, 75, of Lincoln, passed away at Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

A Memorial Mass for Louie will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Joseph Dondanville will officiate. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lincoln Knights of Columbus Hall immediately after the Memorial Mass.

Thomas Louis “Louie” Fitzpatrick was born March 18, 1949, in Lincoln, the son of Gregory E. and Evelyn F. Ryan Fitzpatrick. He was united in marriage to Sue Bruns on August 7, 1971. She survives.

Louie is also survived by two children: Chad (Tracy Bree) Fitzpatrick and Jessica (Brandon) Booth; five grandchildren: Victoria Fitzpatrick, Abigail Fitzpatrick, Garrett Fitzpatrick, Addison Booth, and Connor Booth; and two sisters: Deb Curry and Peggy (Greg) Morrow.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Joseph E. Fitzpatrick, and two sisters: Mary Beth Ripa and Joni Marten; and infant brothers James Gregory and William Paul.

Louie was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln Community High School and electrical school. He was one of the starters of Lincoln Fireworks and ran it for 15 years. As an electrician, he belonged to IBEW 193 and retired from the State of Illinois DOC. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Knights of Columbus, and Sons of the American Legion.
Memorials may be made to Lincoln Knights of Columbus.
